Bleeding Heart

Tucked away in a small dead end, Bleeding Heart restaurant has swapped its gorey past for a new type of claret...of the fine French kind!! And even though the food at this London restaurant is typically French, the wine list reaches out to most corners of the globe and returns with a fantastic, eclectic selection, but does not forget the obvious French classics. The restaurant has a homely feel, quite rustic and honest, and there is a cosy, candlelit terrace for those who want something more romantic. Foie gras terrine was a delicious starter as was the Chicken Warldorf salad, both generously portioned and served with crusty French baguette. Mains included a classic sirloin steak with fresh Bernaise sauce & immaculate pomme frites & sea bream cooked to absolute perfection with grilled fennel. Both were enjoyed with genuine pleasure, our smiles made bigger by the beautiful tarte tartin with home-made vanilla ice cream that followed. Dinner for 2 with wine was under £70, which considering the quality and ambience the restaurant offers, backed up by extremely friendly and attentive service, Bleeding Heart is definitely a restaurant worth discovering.
