The concept, designed by Roy Ackerman, is based on the simplicity and authenticity of beautiful Italian food, with a particular emphasis on Sardinian cuisine. A spacious, chic restaurant with a peaceful, unhurried atmosphere, Filini is a bright & spacious dining room
with walnut floors, mirrors and floor-to-ceiling windows with bay and olive trees throughtout. The large open plan kitchen at Filini with its wood fired oven serves stunning Sardinian cuisine using only the freshest ingredients available. Wonderful starters include char-grilled asparagus, poached egg shallot & pantelleria capers in sea salt or mixed antipasti with Napoli & Milano salami, halve roasted pepper, roast ham, fresh green bean & mint salad, caponata, oven roasted tomatoes & olives, followed by char-grilled rump of lamb with baby spinach, pine nuts & sultanas soaked in Dindarello wine or Spaghetti with crab in a Soave light cream sauce for secondi. The service at Filini is excellent, with the friendly staff, attentive but not too obtrusive. Considering how short a time it’s been open, Filini already runs like a well-oiled machine and is a popular choice with both locals & business clientele alike.
