Café du Vaudeville
Galerie de la Reine 11
Brussels
1000
At the centre of the Galeries de la Reine, in what was once a theatre, and then a nightclub, Cafe du Vaudeville has recently re-emerged as an intimate and attractive restaurant combining all the necessary ingredients to become one of Brussels’ new hotspots. Serge and Pascal Van Hamme have developed the principle of a delicious hot and cold buffet to which visitors can help themselves directly with the option of different plate sizes. At Cafe du Vaudeville you can enjoy your meal either on the terrace, or in the gallery, or on the first floor in one of three grand rooms decorated by Belgian designer Philippe Guilemin and directly overlooking the beautiful shopping arcade. Signature dishes include Oriental-style beef carpaccio, pan-fried duck foie gras with Szechuan pepper, thickly-sliced sirloin steak with French-bean salad and home-made Béarnaise sauce, beef stewed in Val-Dieu Grand-Cru dark beer with ginger biscuits, cep mushroom and truffle ravioli and classic crème brulée for dessert. Cafe du Vaudeville is an intimate and attractive restaurant and bar with wonderful service and very reasonable prices. It's a great place for people watching in the bourgeois Galeries Saint-Hubert and the perfect choice for a quick, but high quality, lunch or dinner before a night at the theatre.
